Epaphras: Northern Thailand Prayer Requests

 Matthew Blaxton

Jul 4, 2025, 9:15 PM

And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

-Mark 10:51

The greatest need of man is open eyes, sight to see Jesus. Only by the Spirit of God through the word will this happen.

 In Short Pray.

The gospel continues to go out in Northern Thailand. Praise the Lord for recent outreaches. Pray for those who heard and read the gospel, some for the first time.

New groups and churches are forming. Praise the Lord for a new Hmong bible study group south of Chiang Mai. And praise the Lord for a new church currently seeking a new meeting space in the same area.

Pray for an upcoming road trip to visit members of the team in 3 locations throughout Northern Thailand. Ask for productive meetings and needed encouragement for the team members.

We are so thankful for the Lord’s provision for a recent medical trip to the States. And praise the Lord for His provision through dear saints at FBC Durham.

 A New Hmong Group.

Over the past few months our Hmong team members have met and gathered displaced Hmong Christians working in the area and have been leading them in a bible study group. As the group has grown together, they have decided they want to become a church. Now, Paul, our team member has been teaching from the word what is needed for them to become a group. Praise the Lord for the right timing and for providing for these believers. Pray for their wisdom as they seek to become church together. Ask for every need of theirs to be provided. And pray for a Hmong pastor to lead this group.

 New Vision.

We participated in a local outreach recently at which we tested vision and provided reading glasses for Northern Thai people in their village. Part of the test was reading a gospel tract to test the glasses. Others were present ready to share further with recipients. Pray for all the seeds of the gospel which went forth. Pray that God would use the gospel tracts in the families who received them. Also pray for the local church who will be following up.
