Stop for a moment and look around. I did.
Flora was in the rehab center for an injury.
I was reading a book by Watchman Knee, “Knowing the Will of God”.
Robert Jefferies, the pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, was preaching that “Jesus is the light of the world” on cable TV.
Cars were passing and going to Fairview Baptist Church.
My son, Lee and his family would soon arrive at Fairview Baptist, where I grew up and he would teach boys.
My daughter, Patricia and her family would soon arrive at Fairview, later Patricia would work with girls.
My brother, Joe and his wife would arrive, and he would teach about the Revelation.
I drew a few conclusions:
1. God is good all the time.
2. People are watching, I was.
3. Love is an action and is to be taught to every generation.
4. Jesus taught us to love one another…even as He loved us.
Yes, I stopped dead in my tracks with a prayer that those who gathered at the church would know the “Love of God” …. Learn it. Love it. Live it.
