Subject: John 4 from Be Alive, Chapter 4 - The Bad Samaritan
Message: Everything Jesus did was intentional, with a purpose, a learning and teachable moment. He went against every social norm and judgement created by man: Samaritans and Gentiles, women, sinners. He made it clear it was all about two things: faith and belief in Him and obedience to the will of God the Father
John chapter 4
I perceive it to be a personal in depth of how the Lord broke all the rules when he approached the Samaritan woman whom was an adulteress living with a man who was not her husband. But the Lord had mercy and compassion on this woman whom the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. What the Lord has taught me through this chapter the Lord's people oftentimes shun the very ones the Lord wants two bless. The Lord truly looked within her heart not the outer color or even her race only her heart. I believe we could make a difference in our country, family, and friends if we start first examining what condition our heart is in, if it be pure, or our heart wanting to shun that person for whatever reason we believe she or he is not fit. John 4 Sunday 7/5/2026
Jesus wanted to go to Galilee. He didn't have to go through Samaria. There were other routes, but he chose to go through Samaria even though most Jews hated the Samaritans.
He stopped at the well at about mid-day because he knew he would meet a woman there who needed salvation, even though she was shunned by the other women, because of her sinful lifestyle. Jesus knew this woman needed salvation. He knew her testimony would lead others to come near him if some were saved. When Jesus told her who he is she believed and had faith. We should all believe and have faith.
The noble man at Cana was desperate due to his son's illness and was dying. This man had heard about Jesus and traveled 20 miles ( a long distance at that time) The noble man asked Jesus to go to Capernaum to heal his son. Jesus said go thy way thy son lives. The man believed Jesus and the boy was healed instantly. The Samaritan woman and this noble man believed and had faith in Jesus. We all need to believe in Jesus and trust him to do what he says he will do.

What I learned from John chapter 3:
The Christian life is not about becoming a better version of ourselves through our own efforts, but about receiving new life through faith in Jesus and continually yielding ourselves so that He becomes greater in us.

*****My Inspiration for John 3. Once we are born again, we as Christians WILL STRIVE to read and OBEY Gods Word. Once we put this into practice, we will see its truth and experience its power. Dwana Baucom
John 3
John 2
What I learned from John chapter 2:
1) Moses's first miracle was a plague, which speaks to judgment, our Lord's first miracle spoke of grace.
2) Our Lord's miracles were testimonies, giving evidence of His divine sonship, but also tests, exposing the hearts of the people. The same events that open some eyes only made other eyes that much more blind
Amanda Jewel
In the Chapter 2 reading of the book of John, I found a very powerful paragraph.
John explains clearly how easy it is for a man to believe in God's miracles and he clarifies the distinction of believing in the miracle and committing oneself to follow the word of God and commit oneself to God's works. Lots of people saw the Miracles and wanted to follow Jesus, but everyone wasn't committed to following and doing the work that Jesus needed done. Thus, the author of this book gives us a new phrase, at least new to me, and the phrase is unsaved Believers. As of retired teacher, I've had many students tell me all you have to do to get to heaven is believe in Jesus, were Jesus throws a hole in this theory because he rejected the believers who were not committed to his word. The first example was Nicodemus. Nicodemus, they believe in the Miracles that Jesus was doing, but he could not commit to following Jesus and doing the work that Jesus laid out under God's rules. This Pearl of wisdom helped me to take a deeper look inside myself and help me with a problem I was having in the believing department and now realizing that with the commitment, my belief and my faith will become stronger. It's not as important what I believe about the Miracles that Jesus did as it is that I believe in the faith and I follow the faith and commit to the work of the Lord.

Subject: John 2 from Be Alive, Chapter 2 - Learning About Jesus
Message: Jesus always puts others first, with the will of the Father at the forefront. Everything He does is about our protection, healing, guidance, and correction for our relationship with the LORD and all to God's Glory, not His own

From John 2 with regards to the Wedding feast.
What hit me one night was actually the relationship between Jesus and His Mother, Mary. Mary was there helping out at the wedding. His brothers, Jesus, and His disciples were also there. When the young couple ran out of wine, Mary went to Jesus for help. Their relationship must have been very close, as Mary only said to Him, “They have run out of wine.”
Then she went and told the servants to do whatever He told them. Of course you know that Jesus replied to His Mother, “Woman, what is that to you and me? My hour has not come.”
But my thought is how strong that relationship must have been between Mother and Son for her to do this. She already knew He was special. But the bond between them was strong. Even at His death He thought about her and took care of her.
That is my nugget.

Subject: John 1 from Be Alive, Chapter 1 God Is Here!
Message: The LORD is always here with us, all we have to do is acknowledge and turn to Him. He is presented in unlimited number of ways: miracles, preaching, witnessing., just as He did Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus represents everything we need. Light to see, bread for sustenance, water for thirst, Heaven for shelter and salvation for life.
John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Text Area: My takeaways for John 1 is that Jesus was and always there from the beginning. He was active in creation and is part of the Godhead as the Son. John the Baptist was the one sent to prepare the way for Jesus
.Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, and salvation comes by Jesus and him only.

Subject: Inspirational Moment from the first chapter of John.
Message: The beginning of this chapter speaks in poetry, and it begins with a clear description of Jesus as God. John describes Jesus using seven (7) specific titles... the Word, the Light, the son of God, the Lamb of God, the Messiah, the King of Israel and the Son of Man. Each of these titles explain Jesus to me, as His reason and who He is.
This chapter inspires me by affirming Jesus' divinity and eternal presence. It offers hope in the light that will conquer the darkness. This chapter also encourages witnessing and service to others. It's a call to see Jesus not just as a historical figure but as the living Word who is with us, lighting our path and inviting us into eternal life with Him.
